The beach and
the foreshore at Port Lligat is made up of many layers. Sand,
stones, rocks and vegetation can all be found here in different
forms and colours. Plants grow on the beach and it winter a
layer of plant debris is washed ashore and by spring it is a
thick dry layer. Wild boars in search of fresh roots to eat or
with the desire to bathe can often be seen here, There is a
small stream that only runs in the cooler months and then, if
one is very lucky, a kingfisher might seen a the branch
overhanging the water.
